Bjorna practises primarily in immigration and refugee law and regularly represents clients in refugee claims, removal and enforcement proceedings, pre-removal risk assessments, humanitarian and compassionate applications, sponsorships, permanent residence applications, work permit matters, and judicial review applications before the Federal Court.

She maintains a busy litigation practice and appears before all divisions of the Immigration and Refugee Board, including the Refugee Protection Division, Refugee Appeal Division, Immigration Appeal Division, and Immigration Division, as well as the Federal Court. She has also appeared before the Court of King’s Bench. Bjorna has completed a clerkship at the Provincial Court of Alberta and has also shadowed judges at the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta. 

Bjorna has previously acted as a stakeholder representative with the United Nations. Further, she has been recognized for her expertise in immigration law and has been featured in the Calgary Herald, CTV News, CBC News, Bloomberg, the CBA National Magazine, and Canadian Lawyer Magazine.
