Sean has advised and acted for clients in disputes relating to joint ventures, product liability, public infrastructure projects, industrial infrastructure, public transportation, delay and scheduling claims, and the enforcement of foreign judgments and foreign arbitral awards. He has acted for petrochemical companies, owners and general contractors, EPCs, mining companies, and a utilities company. Sean has also consulted in the drafting of contractual provisions related to liquidated, excluded, consequential and/or indirect damages.
As an advisor and counsel, Sean enjoys helping his clients develop and grow their businesses not only through effective advocacy at every stage of the litigation process, but also by providing guidance in the drafting of contracts and in the resolution and settlement of disputes short of litigation.
Sean obtained his Honours BA in Histoire, with a concentration in Spanish, from the University of Ottawa; his MA from the Centre for Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto; and his LLB/BCL from McGill Law. Sean is a member of the Law Society of Alberta.
