General Office Clerk
Caron & Partners LLP is a mid-sized Calgary law firm dedicated to providing clients with quality legal services and strategic counselling for over 55 years. We offer a broad range of legal services in various practice areas.
Overview: As an Office Clerk, you will be vital in supporting the firm with general clerical and administrative duties. This position involves various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of the office. Additionally, you will be expected to provide reception coverage, ensuring that clients and visitors receive prompt and professional service.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
Perform general clerical duties, including data entry, filing, document preparation, and scanning,
Oversee, maintain, improve, and physically rearrange closed file storage,
Sort, prepare, scan, and index client documents,
Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls,
Assist in maintaining organized and efficient office systems,
Provide routine reception relief at a busy switchboard, greet clients and visitors, and answer phone inquiries,
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical standards,
Ensure the file and copy rooms are stocked and tidy,
Put away office and kitchen supplies,
Support legal staff with administrative tasks,
Perform other related duties as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is an asset.
Previous experience in an office environment, preferably in a legal setting.
Possess strong organizational and problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
Professional demeanor and a customer service-oriented approach.
Job Type: Temporary, 3-months contract
